Welcome to SkyMotion.tools. I am a passionate physics educator based in Brăila, Romania, with over fifteen years of classroom and computational laboratory experience teaching optics, classical mechanics, gravitation, and kinematics.

My Mission: Making Physics Practical & Accessible

Throughout my 15+ years of teaching high school and pre-university physics, I observed a consistent gap: students and creators frequently encounter abstract formulas in textbooks without seeing how those exact mathematical relationships dictate everyday occurrences—from the exact angle of sunset illuminating an evening cityscape to the stopping distance required for a vehicle decelerating on wet asphalt.

Following the positive reception of my sister project, WaveLab.tools (which focuses on optics, wave mechanics, and acoustics), I established SkyMotion.tools to provide a zero-bloat, instantaneous computational environment dedicated to the intersection of celestial mechanics and kinematic motion.

Rigorous Standards & Scientific Methodology

Every calculator on SkyMotion.tools is engineered directly from authoritative primary references without third-party black-box dependencies. Calculations are executed client-side in pure TypeScript to ensure immediate results and total user privacy:

  • Solar Astronomy: Formulated using the Astronomical Almanac standards published jointly by the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) and HM Nautical Almanac Office, utilizing NOAA solar geometric equations for true solar noon, golden hour boundaries, and solar elevation angles.
  • Lunar Mechanics: Implemented according to Jean Meeus’ seminal reference Astronomical Algorithms (2nd Edition, Chapter 49), calculating true synodic lunations, phase angles, and illumination percentages.
  • Kinematics & Dynamics: Based on Newtonian equations of motion, standard gravitational parameters (CODATA / NIST standards for gravitational acceleration g = 9.80665 m/s²), and empirical tire-road friction coefficients from standard transportation engineering handbooks.
  • Geometric Ratios: Precise irrational approximations for the Golden Ratio (φ = (1 + √5) / 2 ≈ 1.6180339887) and standardized display aspect ratios for digital media creators.

Lightweight, Accessible, and AdSense-Compliant

SkyMotion.tools is designed with uncompromising technical standards. The entire initial JavaScript bundle is kept under 50 kilobytes to ensure swift loading even on remote 3G networks. The platform is fully accessible across light and dark modes with high contrast ratios, semantic HTML5 markup, and complete JSON-LD structured data conforming to schema.org specifications.
